On Friday the organizers released a statement about their aims, which read in part: "We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power. Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone." The movement has been criticized for lacking a clear set of demands or goals.

a lot of these kids got dooped by the college scam that people are currently waking up to, and the funny thing is that the middle east protests and European protests had a reason and a goal, these kids seem to just be mad about the fact that they don't have jobs and these wall-street CROOKS are so rich. To hell with wall-street, and im glad someone is protesting the US government. But we need to be more organized in my opinion, instead of singing coom-bi-ya... but hey Im not protesting so who am I to b**** about it I guess...
