Some people compare the conservation of energy to the eternal nature of the soul. That is an interesting idea. But it is not an idea which I need. I do not see our souls as being energy, except as maybe an analogy. By the way, I should stop for a moment, and tell you of two books which most strongly influenced my thinking on spiritual matters.
