(Orientation Class 1) Getting ready to learn and breath focus - CODL Magickal Lectures Series
HOW TO WRITE AN ESSAY http://www1.aucegypt.edu/academic/writers/
This group is for those who wish to participate in GIC's Dr. Bernard Alvarez' ongoing lecture series. (Beginning Jan. '11) Every week Bernard will present a video class on the metaphysical arts. Topics will vary from week to week and students will be given an assignment to be completed at their own pace. Each Class and Discussion will be presented in chronological order and new students are asked to start at the beginning and take a week to practice the exercises offered therein while completing the proposed assignment.
Due to time constraints and an already overwhelming schedule Bernard will not be taking questions VIA the discussions or comments section and hopes those participating will aid one another with any particulars that will arise. With this, those who feel the need for more personal instruction, Bernard has offered to extend his consultation services for his nominal consulting fee of $25.00 for up to 30 min. for a phone consultation if you should feel the need for further explanation and discourse on a particular lesson.
Those interested in a more structured learning environment, Bernard has agreed to take up to 10 personal students VIA email for a monthly offering of $20.00 in which the student will receive one on one instruction and will be expected to deliver their assignments weekly.
NOTE from Bernard - I am very excited to offer everyone this new series and hope it will help answer many questions for all of you. I feel now is the time for me to get back to my roots as an instructor and share what I once shared with my own CODL group. I take my work very seriously and for those who wish to become personal students I ask that you have the following:
- Must be over 18.
- Have a reasonable grasp of the English language.
- Be willing to write in essay form.
- Have a good grasp of personal discipline.
- No overwhelming psychiatric disorders or Addictions ( I am not a shrink or drug counselor. ) Stress, anxiety and socially partying are fine.
( You can apply to be one the 10 students chosen by sending your personal email address to the GIC Contact with your name and a brief description of yourself and why you want to be a personal student of Bernard's.)
I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with all of you no matter what capacity you choose. Good luck and enjoy. - Dr. Bernard Alvarez

Permalink Reply by Rain Montrose on January 11, 2011 at 3:50pm WHY DO I FEEL I AM A LIGHT WORKER?
Why do I feel I am a light worker? If the question posed was, why do I feel I am not a light worker, then that would have given me cause for
great thought. Light, meaning God,’ the source’, universal energy, creation, what
ever term light may mean to the individual we all glow with it, the aura each
of us has is a visible means of knowing this to be truth. For me as a child I was
aware that there were other planes of existence, being without ego I never
questioned my abilities. Its all in our perception, let me explain further.
We are all energy, made up of cells and atoms; we have mechanical energy, kinetic energy, electrochemical energy and most importantly
potential energy. The potential energy as I see it is to use these energies to
heal others; this can be done either by transference of this energy via our
hands, or simply by listening with our hearts and genuinely caring. We can show
compassion, empathy, sympathy; we can cry with or for each other, this too is
light work.
This ability is available to all, most of us including myself, tap into the source of this
energy, I hear and relate messages from light beings who have completed the
circle of life and have returned to source, earthly death to me is only the
loss of our body, who and what we are better known as our soul or spirit, this
is our very essence, it is as alive or more alive after its earthly cessation.
My ability to see and hear the dead was apparent at an early age, but it was considered then to be my
vivid imagination, acceptance of this awareness came much later on in my life.
I am a listener, and people like to talk, they have an urge to touch me, and
when I allow this, they generally release pent up negative energy or past
trauma through tears. It is for them a healing experience, quite often the
reason for their despair is already known to me, words or images have been
shared between myself and a guide, angel or light being working with me from
the other side. I have had prophetic dreams, televiewed future events, and seen
signs in coffee and tea cups, and no matter how much ridicule by others who
suppress or ignore their potential, I have accepted this connection to a higher
source or universal energy from the beginning.
So at the end of the day it’s not about me feeling I am a light worker it’s simply about accepting I am. Each of us is a part of the
other, spiritually we are all brothers and sisters, and we are a part of this incredible
planet, Mother Earth. We are connected to all life and no matter what our
beliefs; we are connected to the ‘light’ whatever our perception of that may
mean.

Life is an Interactive Experience
By Melanie S Costin 12.01.11
There are many labels that are being tossed about now a days and with increasing frequency (Indigo, Crystal or Wanderer for example) but the term I find of the best fit is “interactive”. As an interactive entity i am actively participating in the world around me, observing the biomechanical rhythms of the source, the elements and the physical bodies which interact with us in return and remain consciously vigilant of the past present and future. As an Active Participant I aim to act with full knowledge and intent, but as a student I am still a stone’s throw away.
To define Active Participation it is best to break it down into its components; active and participation. To be active requires movement, momentum and an awareness of one’s surroundings. In this context we can also define active as in making choices; and one would hope to understand the cause and effect of such choices. Participation is ‘not remaining separate’ as it were; to act, belong, take part in an activity involving more than one individual (I prefer to use the term entity). Thus participation could be thesaurased alongside, co-operation, co existence or even further with co-creation. Thus Active Participation means to work alongside others to instigate change with full understanding. An Understanding brought about through careful observations.
Observation must remain constant to understand the rhythms of life. Complete observation is done without the use of contextual lenses. By understanding the bio-rhythms from Cell to Galaxy and beyond you can begin to identify where the balances are off kilter but i do not feel we are psychologically ready to start Actively Participating outside our own Solar system. To realise that the universe has a similar structure to the brain on a microscopic scale you are drawn into the inter-connectivity of everything around us- something Fibonacci learned many years ago. Each Cell has a vibrational fingerprint, thus the body has an Vibrational fingerprint, thus the earth, the moon and sun also have their own vibrational fingerprint. Each influening and interacting with each other on multiple dimensional feilds. To interact with these frequencies is to share our Vibrational Fingerprint; most occurrences in the universe do not share in this ability, they may lend, focus, dissipate, repel or even heal (crystals for example) but they (mostly) do not have the ability to directly manipulate other Vibrational frequencies.
The Manipulation of Vibrational frequencies is something that separates the various ‘intelligence’ threads; what separates the beast from being. As an empath I can tell what emotional manipulations/adjustments are needed to rebalance/ stabalise or orient another enity (easiest with animals). By not understanding this manipulation people have drawn themselves inexplicably away from the light. ‘Energy Theft’ was an accidental discovery which was first labelled as a ‘power’; people didn’t understand why they felt energised but they quickly hungered for more*.
Through careful observation of the interaction of the various ‘bodies’ of energy one can identify where the weak links are and actively seek to counteract the cause. To understand the biorhythmic pulses that largely influence our own energetic fingerprint and how enough ‘entities’ together can work with the energies of the less sentient to keep such rhythms stable would lead to the enlightenment of intention and aid us on our journey from student to teacher and back again that we may aid others on their journey.
*Murder was refined into Torture, homicide refined into genocide and as currency became a symbol for one man’s day of work greed very quickly took root. For currency to become redundant people must first remember what it is supposed to represent.

WhyI feel that I am a Lightworker.
ByTrevor Knott.
WhyI feel that I an a lightworker. Ever since I can remember I have beenasking myself questions. Questions like 'Why are we here?' and 'Whyis the world like it is?' I felt like these questions needed ananswer but I couldn't muster the courage and didn't even know who Icould ask. But now that I have answers to some of those questions Iknow for sure that I am a Lightworker. After all the research, andreading, and going within, and even talking to my fellow councilmembers I know without a Doubt that I am a Lightworker.
Manyyears before my awakening began, in my childhood I knew that I wasdifferent then the other children. I felt as if my brain was wireddifferently then the others, and to this day I still do. I feltisolated within my community and even within my own family, andnothing felt as it should and I couldn't even begin to explain why.As I got older it started to become difficult to deal with, my mothereven sent my twin brother and myself to a shrink because my parentsthought I was depressed of something. I grew up in a rather Negativebased home. The emotions expressed the most was anger, fear, sadness, but as you can see that I wrote his essay It was all for a reason, for I chose my parents, I chose to come back to earth at this veryspecial time in history.
Ibelieve that my awakening began when I fell in love for the firsttime in my early thirties. It was the first time I felt such strongpositive emotions and energy. I felt as if my positive emotions wherelocked up behind this thick door and the young woman I fell in lovewith came along and kicked it open. I couldn't handle the influx ofso much positive emotions and energy, it felt as if that triggered myawakening. I haven't felt like the same person since and I an sograteful of that.
Aftermy awakening began I had no idea what was happening. I thought wassomething wrong with me. I lost my job I had at the time, I lost oneof my best friends, It contradicted everything that I learned growingup in my childhood. For the first time I felt love and I didn't knowwhat it was and what the hell was going on. After it settled downenough to think straight, I started to have this nagging felling thesomething important was missing. I felt their was something I neededto do like a calling of sorts. And I found out what that was one dayafter taking an early day at work. I clicked on the T.V. And it justhappen to be on the right channel to catch a program about Paganismand Halloween. It was like a little light in my head clicked on andsaid SPIRITUALTY. After a couple years of reading books andresearching online I came across the justbernard channel on YouTubeand haven't looked back.
Theword lightworker feels so true, so right. Like something I have beenwaiting for, for a very long time. So there you have it in a nutshell. This is but a taste of why I feel like a lightworker. I couldtell you the whole story if you had a couple of hours, but there isonly so much I can fit in a five paragraph essay. After all that hashappened in my life I believe it was preparing me of what is to came. After all I chose this, this is my creation and I wouldn't have itany other way. I am a Lightworker, I am love, I am of the light Lookout 5d earth, here I come. I love you all.
-Rev. Trevor Knott.
Below is my essay, I "heard" the instructions as to write about who you are and why you think you are that. I listened to the second video today and realized the instruction was to write about why you think you are a light worker. Oh well, another example of me hearing what I want to hear! Thanks to all the folks who are posting their essays. I am enjoying them and noticing how we are each so individual as beings and also drawn to the same underlying desires.
Who I am and Why I think I am That
I believe myself to be a multidimensional being, born out of Creative Source, and have incarnated into a female human form. There are many facets to my being and as events of my life have occurred, I have practiced (sometimes remembered, or have been given guidance from within myself to metabolize experiences and return to) core principle values that make up by being. During this lifetime I have experienced love, grace, spontaneous healing and events that defy the odds of occurrence.
In my belief system, a multidimensional being is an entity that has awareness of the many aspects to their self and reality. A being that is aware that there are many dimensions, (planes of existence, areas of mind) that effect our inner and then outer self. Having a relationship with my inner self as I bring expression into the “world” is what people experience as who I am. The assimilation of my daily experience can be done using various filters of perception. This is also an example of being multidimensional.
Recent breakthrough in the studies of physics, as I understand it, is able to prove that what was thought to be the results of experiments, or “fact”, is affected by the observer of the experiment.. The outcome of an experiment is influenced by the observer. Wow, this is an excellent example of multidimensional being, or outcomes.
The physical body, mental body, emotional body, are also facets of my multidimensional self. I am learning how to facilitate the functioning of these systems as I learn how to hold awareness of choice. I have learned (although I don't always make conscious choices) that I have the power within me to control the outcome of experience. Not by controlling the experience per se, but having choice on how I hold the outcome of experience internally. This is dependent on what I believe and as I have more experience on choosing my beliefs, I am finding that these choices basically create my life.
In conclusion, I am a multidimensional being, having experiences in order to practice the use of belief systems and choice. I choose to practice aligning myself with love, light, mutual support of myself and others, for the purpose of knowing and sharing the being that I am. I choose to return to love and continue to learn how to do and be that. My multidimensional Creative Source, which has always guided me to the balance which brings me peace, is my lesson in this lifetime and also the greatest gift I receive as a result of being in a physical body. Why I am this way is because I choose to be this way. I don't know any other “real” purpose for being in this form of what is commonly called a human female.
