I am very new here, but I am taking this opportunity to introduce my dear friend GreeHee and his journey (what humans call a fantasy.) He is an adolescent dragon, born as most of us are, unaware of why he is the way he is. He is not fierce like his father or all the other dragons in his world. He is a deep thinker with a big loving heart. Because he is different, his father calls him a wimp, and is ashamed of him.
As his story opens, he is practicing "the dragon art" to be fierce, and sees a lost fairy. Though he knows he should eat her, but instead he notes her tears and listens to her.
She tells him if he will take her home, her father will give him riches. He feels sorry for her, and rationalizes a way to put off eating her, and become a hero in his father's eyes, by simply agreeing to take her home.
Like each of us, we agree to journeys for all kinds of reasons, most appear quite simple, but we never really know where the journey will take us, who we will meet or how we will change.
GreeHee's journey with his unlikely fairy companion, will open the door to validate who he is, and he will begin to love himself. Like each of us, we need to realize we are valuable and unique, and all our seeming foibles, shortcomings and differences are gifts that will be woven into the magnificent tapestry of our lives.
GreeHee has won three awards and it is still available for a free download of the pdf version on my site, TalesofTamoor.com
